Dazor Vario™ suspension lights are used in elite restorative and esthetic dentistry applications

Dazor’s double and single workstation Vario™ suspension lights were recently installed in the practice of renowned educator and practitioner Dr. Edward McLaren, DDS, MDC.  Dr. McLaren is a Clinical Professor in UCLA’s Division of Restorative Dentistry, Director of Post Graduate Esthetics, Director of the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry, and Director UCLA/LACC Master Ceramist Program at the UCLA School of Dentistry.  The residency program is a full time master ceramist program for dental technicians featuring extensive experience with the newest esthetic restorative systems.  Dr. McLaren maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry in which he does all of his own ceramics.

Dazor’s Vario™ product line features both direct and indirect lighting combined into an individualized, user-Vario Overhead Double Lightfriendly suspended luminaire.  Other mounting options are also available.  Stan Hogrebe, President of Dazor, declared, “We are honored to work with Dr. McLaren on this installation.”  Hogrebe added, “The Vario™ direct-indirect fixtures harvest a certain percentage of the light upwards into the lab environment with the majority directed downward onto the task, thereby providing both ambient lighting and direct-to-the-task lighting.  The light emitted from the Vario fixtures is a very smooth and pleasing illumination, color balanced at a 5500° Kelvin temperature.  These luminaires are very high quality and provide a consistent, long-lasting and color-accurate viewing environment for a variety of applications in the lab.  Also, differing work surface heights and the unique vision needs of each professional make the easy height adjustment of Vario suspension lights an important ergonomic feature.”

All Vario products are equipped with HF-ballasts providing the highest efficiency with low operating costs, instant start and flicker free performance, while producing absolutely glare-free illumination by use of a parabolic louver system designed specifically for light sensitive areas.
